Unless you want to do some high-tech stuff, just get Photoshop Elements. It does a lot of the same things Photoshop does and a lot lower price.

Photoshop Elements is the watered-down version...the full are appened with CS (Creative Suite), the most recent is CS3, so Photoshop CS3 would be the latest-greatest full version of the program.
